Minister L.Enkh-Amgalan meets Minister of Education and Research of the Republic of Estonia

L.Enkh-Amgalan, the Minister of Education and Science, and other representatives held a meeting with Kristina Kallas, the Minister of Education and Research of the Republic of Estonia, and exchanged opinions on the reforms based on the results of the PISA assessment, including the experience of improving students' reading skills, and the electronic transition.

Estonia has been improving its success in the PISA assessment in a short period of time, and it was at the top of the European Union countries in the assessment of 2022. And the country has updated methodology for developing the reading ability of elementary school children, and introduced the methodology for teaching reading comprehension rather than speed reading. Also, the parties made a proposal to cooperate on educational accreditation, evaluation, and e-transition.

As for the education sector of Mongolia, there are issues such as empowering human resources and clarifying the legal framework. And the Minister would like to cooperate with HAKA and the Estonian Quality Agency for Education in the field of quality assurance, mutual recognition of qualifications, and credit conversion.
