Yesterday, Speaker of the Parliament Mr. Z.Enkhbold met Chairman of the State Duma Sergey Naryshkin. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Sergey Naryshkin mentioned: "I am pleased to meet Mr. Speaker again. I would like to state and express my gratitude that Mongolia successfully organized OSCE Parliamentary Assembly 2015 Autumn Meeting in last week.
We delivered our views on certain topics at the Assembly Meeting and are grateful of support shown by Mongolian side. I am also very satisfied with bilateral cooperation especially parliamentary partnership. We have further interest to establish cooperation with Mongolia at international stage, especially in the frameworks of Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Economic, political and other partnerships with Mongolia is and will be pivotal for Russia".
Speaker of the Parliament Mr. Z.Enkhbold stated during the meeting: "I express my gratitude that Mr. Sergey Naryshkin attended in person OSCE Parliamentary Assembly 2015 Autumn Meeting and delivered greeting for 25th anniversary of Parliament of Mongolia. It is very crucial to advance strategic partnership between two countries into new height. Until today, 21 member Mongolia - Russian parliamentary faction in the Parliament of Mongolia led by Deputy Chairman Mr. R.Gonchigdorj has been actively working. We should take into account that trade and economic matters between two countries have been stagnant lately. Particularly, total trade volume of two countries in 2014 was worth 1.6 billion USD of which only 3% belonged to export by Mongolia. Thus, two sides must take substantial approaches to make considerable impact on the matter. During last year's official visit paid by President V.V. Putin, two countries agreed upon establishment of "Mid-term program to develop Mongolia-Russia strategic partnership" and appointed officials who are now close to finalize the program.
Two countries have been working together in frameworks of UN, and international and regional organizations. We are confident that Russia is to show its support for Mongolian candidacy in election of non-permanent membership of the Security Council of UN to be held in 2022. Moreover, we are pleased that two countries also agreed to support each other for their candidacies in Human Rights Council election of UN to be held in 2015. Recently, President of Mongolia Mr. Ts.Elbegdorj publicly announced that Mongolia will endorse neautrality. Despite no public declaration of its neautrality, Mongolia has been practising same statehood since approval of its constitution", reported by the Press and Public Relations Department of the State Great Hural of Mongolia.
