Ikh Khuree 2018, a national assembly for retailers, will be held on December 25, at Independence Palace.
The assembly is expected to address some challenges faced by retail traders. Many business representatives say that there is no law for retail traders but fines and the requirements and standards imposed on businesses are high.
As a result, retailers want regulations and legislation created to protect their interests. The assembly will be co-hosted by the Mongolian Retailers Association, GS1 Mongolia NGO, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ulaanbaatar Mayor’s Office, and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry.
During the assembly, discussions will be held on trade industry norms and standards, introducing innovation and technical upgrades, and best practices in Japan. Over 800 attendees from the capital and provinces will take part in the assembly.
