In order to protect essential wildlife feeding and grazing areas in the Bogd Khan Mountain reserve, authorities will conduct efforts to remove stray dogs and cats from the area until November 10, 2024.
The Bogd Khan Mountain Reserve Administration advises residents and visitors to avoid entering the mountain region during this period. This includes areas such as Zaisan, Chandmani, Bogino, Khuush, Artsat, Nukht, Jargalant, Turgen, Khureltogoot, and Chuluut, where stray dogs that have long inhabited these areas will be captured and removed.
In addition, under the Law on Special Protected Areas, bringing dogs into protected zones is prohibited. Citizens, local businesses, and land users are urged to refrain from keeping dogs within the protected area.
