Mongolia has taken its first step to become liver disease free country within 2020 by conducting training for more than 130 doctors.
The Ministry of Health and Sport in cooperation with National Center for Infectious Diseases and "Gilead sciences" Inc has organized international advanced training titled "Viral Hepatits diagnosis, treatment" for two days.
Gastroenterologist and infectious disease physicians from National Center for Infectious Diseases, I, II, III Central Hospitals, Medical Centers of 21 aimags and nine districts, Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences as well as the biggest private hospitals including Songdo, Intermed, Grandmed, Interferon and Alfa have attended in the training.
Following researchers and scientists have given presentation at the training;
- Expert of Infections and Microbiology, Academician P.Nyamdavaa,
- Internal Disease Specialist S.Narantsetseg,
- Professor of Medicine at University College London and Royal Free Hospital Geoffrey Dusheiko,
- Associate Professor of Medicine (Gastroenterology and Hepatology) at the Stanford University Medical Center Mindie H. Nguyen.
