A statement from the Fund stated, "The Ministry of Health of Mongolia has registered the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus infection”. The registry was issued for emergency use without additional clinical trials in the country.
According to the source, the vaccine was approved by a Russian Direct Investment Fund with the assistance of Mongol Em Impex Concern, a leading medicine manufacturer of Mongolia.
On February 4, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Amarsaikhan received Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mongolia I.K.Azizov at the Government Palace. During the meeting, the Russian Ambassador I.K.Azizov expressed his interest to negotiate on supplying the “Sputnik-V” vaccine to the citizens of Mongolia.
