Bayan-Ulgii aimag saw heavy rain and hails on July 10. Due to this natural occurrence, Khovd river flooded and some 200 households got hit by water.
After hearing this news, Nursultan Abishuly Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan issued a presidential decree to give humanitarian aid to households who were hit by flood.
And today PM Karim Massimov with Mongolian PM J.Erdenebat in scope of the 11th ASEM Summit and told that Kazakhstan will give $200 thousand worth aid to government of Mongolia to assist Bayan-Ulgii aimag citizens.
Bayan-Ulgii aimag administration sent an emergency aid request of ger and food product for 640 people to National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
This afternoon NEMA sent humanitarian aid of 70 gers, 14.000 mineral water, 14.000 packed meat, 3.5 tonnes of flour, 3.5 tonnes of rice, 700 kg tea, 700 kg salt, 200 kg chlorine for sanitation purpose and 90 kg chloramin, total of 126.2 tonnes of cargo left Ulaanbaatar city to Bayan-Ulgii aimag.
