A rescue team, headed by B.Uuganbayar, Colonel and Deputy Chief of the National Emergency Management Agency, left for Turkey from Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport at 04:34 AM today.
The search and rescue, emergency medical aid and support team at the epicenter of the earthquake consists of a total of 35 members including 25 members of emergency organizations, and 10 members of medical aid. The team will work for 14 days.
A total of 9,698 (3,500 military) servicemen, 9,876 volunteers, 216 vehicles, and 1,511 special equipment are working in search and rescue operations in Turkey. Also, 17 planes, including A400M transport planes, are continuously flying from Istanbul, Izmir, Ankara to Gaziantep and Adana.
