Foreign Minister receives ambassadors from the European Union

Minister of Foreign Affairs D. Tsogtbaatar received ambassadors from the European Union (EU) and its member states on November 2, 2017.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister briefed the delegates on the Government of Mongolia’s policies, focus, and foreign policy targets; exchanged views on cooperation with EU ambassadors; and took questions from the ambassadors.

Minister D. Tsogtbaatar asked the ambassadors for support for enhancing investment from the EU and for creating policy for small and medium-sized enterprises in the framework of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and Mongolia, which came into effect on November 1, 2017.

During the meeting Foreign Minister Tsogtbaatar and EU Ambassador to Mongolia Hans Dietmar Schweisgut signed an “Agreement to establish an EU representative office in Mongolia and to determine mutual privileges and immunities for official representatives between the Government of Mongolia, the EU, and the European Atomic Energy Community.”
