The Government of Mongolia, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) held a series of events to commemorate World Hepatitis Day under the theme ‘Test. Treat. Hepatitis’. On July 27, President Kh.Battulga received a delegation from the WHO, led by Regional Director for the Western Pacific, Shin Young-soo, who visited Mongolia within the framework of the event.
The President stated, “All individuals in Mongolia, from ordinary citizens to the head of state, need to focus on eliminating hepatitis B and C as Mongolia has an extremely high rate of liver cancer mortality.” Regional Director Shin Young-soo expressed support for the implementation of the Eleg Buten Mongol (Whole-Liver Mongolia) program.
