President of Mongolia is paying an official visit to the Republic of Korea at the invitation of President Park Geun-Hye. As part of his visit, the president visited Korean Foreign Studies University.
Korean Foreign Studies University has 22 thousand students, 12 faculties and studies 45 languages at 64 schools. Also the university cooperates with some 420 universities of 88 countries.
During his visit to Korean Foreign Studies University, President Ts.Elbegdorj was honored with the Honorary Doctorate and ceremony was held. At the awarding ceremony, president Ts.Elbegdorj said: "This is a great honor you showed me. Mongolia's achievement is achievement of all Mongolians. I do not take this honorary as my own, but as an honorary to all the people of Mongolia. Yesterday, I received honorary citizenship of Seoul, and today honorary doctorate. The burden gets heavier. Our two countries have long, rich history and mutual respect for each other. We born with blue mark. Mongolians say this is the mark of the eternal blue sky. Mongolia is very open and free country. We are proud of our achievements and we are grateful for what we have. We have democracy and freedom. One of the advantages of freedom is the people understands and critize their weakness and aspire to better themselves. I'm grateful to receive such an honorable degree from highly reputable university. I will do everything in my power to carry this title with honor."
