(Ulaanbaatar) Dec 11, Naitonal Mother and Child Health Center is organizing traning seminar for the Pediatric physicians on applying surfactant treatment for the infants with acut respiratory distress syndrome. Training is co-organized by "Mongol Em Impex" Concern and involves Pediatric Physicians of National Mother and Child Health Center, Maternity Hospitals of the UB city and Regional Diagnosis Centers.
Training session, which started today at the Naitonal Mother and Child Health Center, has guest Professor Mark Prutkin, General Pediatric Physician at Infant Intensive Care Unit of Ekaterinburgh Regional Children's Hospital, Russia.
Surfactant treatment in preterm infants and term newborns with (acute respiratory distress syndrome) ARDS-like severe respiratory failure has become part of an individualized treatment strategy in many intensive care units around the world.
This treatment was introduced at Naitonal Mother and Child Health Center in 2013 and now they are expanding the treatment for the use in Maternity Hospitals and Regional Health Care Centers nationwide.
