According to the Bank of Mongolia, USD rate reaches MNT 2263 today.
Commercial banks are selling USD at MNT 2273-2275 while currency exchange centers are selling dollar at MNT 2278, which set the record selling rate of the USD.
Mongolia has witnessed sharp rise in dollar exchange rates since the beginning of 2016.
On Sep 18th, Bank of Mongolia`s Board of Directors held meeting and decided to increase the policy interest rate to 15 percent. As a result, the US Dollar had stabilized temporarily but it has begun to rise since last week.
