Mongolian National Para-Taekwondo Team have successfully competed at the 6th WTF World Para-Taekwondo Championships which was held in Samsun, Turkey on September 17, 2015, with the presence of 118 athletes from 38 countries.
Mongolian Team won one gold, one silver and one bronze medal.
- G.Bolor-Erdene (61 kg) competed at K-44 category and won his second gold medal of World Para-Taekwondo Championship after beating Italian athlete by 4:2.
- B.Shinebayar (61 kg) competed at K-42 category and won silver medal which became his third silver medal of World Para-Taekwondo Championship
- O.Enhtuvshinzaya (61 kg) competed at K-44 category and won bronze medal.
Mongolia ranked at fifth place as its team result after Russian Federation, Iran, Azerbaijan and Turkey. Mongolian team was led by the President of Mongolian Para-Taekwondo Federation D.Munhbaatar, General Secretary of the Federation L.Otgonbaatar and M.Enhbaatar have participated as trainer.
Our athletes have headed to Sochi, Russia to attend in 2015 International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) World Games which will be held during September 26 to October 03.
They will arrive in Mongolia on October 02. Interestingly, para-taekwondo has been included in the 2020 Paralympic programme.
